GLOSSYBOX July 2015 Review: My Hair is Looking Fantastic!

I'm going to be buried in hair and makeup products before this year is through.  I think I wasn't a "product girl" before because I was too lazy to try new things.  Now that they're being delivered to my door I can't get enough.

I just got my Birchbox last week and was thrilled, loved pretty much everything in it.  Then, yesterday, I got my first GLOSSYBOX.

Oh my gosh.  I'm in love.

It should be noted that at $21 a month, GLOSSYBOX is more expensive than the $10 Birchbox so one should expect to get a bit more.  GLOSSYBOX says you'll get 1 full sized product in each box and I got 2 full size products in this box.  I'm a fan of under-promising and over-delivering.  Honestly, I feel like the people at GLOSSYBOX went above and beyond.  Every single thing I received I had mentioned an interest for in my profile.  If you aren't yet aware of GLOSSYBOX, it is a beauty box subscription service that delivers luxury products to your door monthly.  You fill out a profile so the employees know your taste and they tailor the box to your specific likes/dislikes.

Product #1
Orly Nail Laquer

A small sample of neutral/french nail polish.  I've tried Orly before and really like the results so I was happy to see this in my box.  I had written in my profile that I only liked reds and neutrals. I already have a bright red so this one was perfect.  Its a great brand, looks perfect on and you really only need 2 easy coats.  This came at a perfect time because I've recently started painting my daughters toenails.  You can't even tell that the polish is all over her feet with this shade.  A 19 month old's toenails are tiny and really hard to paint.

Product #2
Doucce Lush Lip Gloss

My mother would be thrilled with this gloss, she always tells me I should wear lipstick.  I hate the way lipsticks/glosses feel so I rarely wear them.  This gloss feels the same as most, pretty thick and sticky.  After trying it on, it isn't a product I would buy.  The color they sent looks pretty terrible on me.  It would, however,  look GREAT on my sister.  I'll be throwing it into the "Products That Look Better on You" box I'm making her.  She'll be thrilled.

Product #3
Too Faced Cosmetics
Better Than Sex Mascara

I showed my husband the box and this caught his eye.  He wasn't as interested when he found out it was just mascara.  I, on the other hand, LOVE mascara.  Its the one thing I don't leave the house without throwing on.  I've seen the Too Faced brand at ULTA before but haven't taken the plunge because I'm cheap when it comes to makeup, but this mascara delivers.   Its lightweight, doesn't clump and makes my lashes look exceptionally longer.  At a $23 price point I'll probably stick with what I'm already using in the long run, but I'll enjoy using this sample.

Product #4
Etre Belle Cosmetics
Aloe Vera Ultra Moisturizing Gel

This product is made in Germany and says that after just one use you'll see tighter/firmer skin.  I've learned to trust foreign facial products, they just seem to be ahead of the game.  Even so, I was terrified to use this because it says to spread it all over your face like moisturizer and I envisioned my super sensitive skin breaking out in a rash.  I'm happy to say that I've used it 3 times, no rash and I can FEEL that my skin is tighter.  The gel feels way less weighted/thick than my normal moisturizer.  I highly recommend this product.

Product #5
Nextus NewYork Salon Care
Color Assure Restoring Conditioner

I had written in my profile that I was wanting hair products that could help damaged hair due to dye, so I was thrilled when I saw a full size conditioning product.   I've only used this once and I can tell a big difference in the way my hair looks and feels.  This doesn't surprise me since I typically use pretty cheap hair products.  The smell is great, really clean and not full of perfumes.  My hair feels silkier and lighter.  I don't notice any difference in my color, but I AM due to touch up my roots so I'll see in the next week or so if it helps hold the color longer.

I'm attaching the info/price cards below so you can see how much each product is and what the manufacturer has to say about them.  I'm really happy with my first GLOSSYBOX.  Everything was really impressive, from the packaging to the products to the sizes.  They exceeded my expectations and I can't wait for next month's box!  If you're interested in trying it out I would LOVE for you to use my REFERRAL LINK so I can get some GlossyPoints to put toward my next box :)
